How to be an optimist and hire them too Thursday, May 6, 2010
Dear leader, entrepreneur, student and friend,
Here's a practice I adopted that is making 2010 a great year. I gave up negativity. That's right. I decided to be positive in my thoughts, words and deeds. I am fasting from negative news. As I work to make this a heroic habit, I've improved my awareness, caught and corrected myself and displaced the negative with positive. Every cloud has a silver lining. Problems are opportunities. Mistakes teach us something about ourselves. When the going gets tough, the tough get going!
My wife shared with me the Optimist Creed and I've been looking at it regularly. It starts:
