Sorry ladies, I am single.

Stand Up Comedy Disclaimer:

I do stand up comedy. 6 Years now. For the uninitiated, stand up is not a "sketch" do not ask me how my skit went tonight. That is improv and sketch comedy which you will see on that great Satan called Television. Shows like Saturday Night Live and Whose Line is It Anyway, Thank God You're Here. All these disciplines  overlap but stand up is in essence one man or woman, one Microphone, one spotlight and an audience of 40-4,000. Stand up is not knock-knock jokes or street jokes or "covers" of other people's jokes. Stand up is talking freely about yourself, opening up, and having people (hopefully) laugh in your face at your expense.

If you are new to stand up, welcome. Have a drink or ten and a seat, enjoy the show. If it sucks, you are free to walk. Do not heckle. It doesn't "help the show." The only thing it does is make you look like an ass and sometimes get you ejected. As the old show-biz adage goes, I don't come into your job and slap the dick out of your mouth. And if you heckle me, you may not ever hold your head up in public. Not a challenge, just a warning. Hecklers and loud talkers have called a venue crying because they decided to try and be a part of the show. Ask Dave at Artist's Quarter about that.

Also, do not come up to me after a show thinking all I want to hear is a poorly executed funny you downloaded off a mailing list. After a show, I want to assess how it went, meet cool audience members, be just another guy at the bar and get paid.

If this is all a no-brainer, please please come to my show. You're probably the forward thinking, hip 18-34 crowd I play best to. If you are older than that, I am sorry about the coming changes to your social security benefits.

Really what I'm trying to say is stand up is all about the love people, all about the love.

who i'd like to meet

I don't announce what kind of people I like to meet. I will just come over to you and say "Hi." Again, a no-brainer.
